Target audience: those (administrative) staff dealing at the organisational level with FP7 contracts and finance.

 Event overview: This 1 day course on FP7 administrative issues such as reporting, contracts, finance and audit aims to provide research management and finance staff with a grounding in the European Commission documents underpinning FP7 engagement. In particular, it will focus on:

• The EC model grant agreements
• The DESCA consortium agreement
• The information requirements for FP7 reporting
• Audit

Given that the staff dealing with these issues may be different to ‘frontline’ FP7 research managers, this training event assumes no basic knowledge. However, the course is structured to complement the information gained on legal, financial and administrative issues in FP7 for Research Managers course.

Expected learning outcomes:

Participants will:

• Have a basic knowledge of the FP7 grant agreement
• Know what to look for in the DESCA consortium agreement
• Have a working knowledge of the information requirements to support FP7 reporting
• Have a basic understanding of the EC’s cost reimbursement methodologies
• Have an overview of the audit principles in FP7
