Target audience: researchers with little or no knowledge of FP7 who want to understand the basic opportunities, and develop strategies for engagement.

Event overview: The aim of this training course is to equip researchers with sufficient knowledge of FP7 to allow them to develop their own approach FP7 engagement. Starting with an introduction to FP7, researchers will begin to understand how the programme works, and how they might become involved. This course will help researchers to find a path through the FP7 documentation, and will also consider the various approaches to identifying partners.

Expected learning outcomes:

Participants will:

• Have a broad understanding of the principles of FP7
• Be able to locate documents relevant to calls for proposals
• Have a broad knowledge of the proposal, evaluation and negotiation phases
• Have strategies to identify potential partners
• Have identified strategies for engagement
